Rwanda Trip - Janet BlackMy name is Janet Black and managing children has been my life-long love and existence. I taught twenty-eight years in public schools coaching and teaching from Cy-Fair to Deer Park to Gregory-Portland to Anahuac and the final 18 years in Pearland schools. This is my ninth year as Children’s Ministry Director for Friendswood Friends. Of course VBS and curriculum for our own kids is on-going, but I have also been involved in Bible schools for the children in Mexico during these years. So when VBS and Rwanda came up – well it only seemed natural for me to volunteer.

I believe God will use me in this experience to bless and serve the missionaries and the Friends Churches in Rwanda. This will be a unique opportunity to experience Rwandan culture and experience the history of this region through the lives and testimonies of the Rwanda people. It will be an all new appreciation for God’s work in this global Church and a new way that God wants to use me and my gifts in His Kingdom.

Not to mention that we will be staying near my daughter Molly’s home and the Thomas family that our church has been supporting for many years. So this becomes a dual process for me to see Molly and serve alongside our host missionaries. Please support me in prayer!
