I felt my heart go out towards Africa when I was fifteen years old and ever since had wondered if God could be leading me towards the mission field. I had gone on a few mission trips throughout high school and every time I realized how much my heart yearned to reach out to others as well as experience the joy that comes from Him and isn’t found in anything else. I knew if I were to try out the mission field, Africa was the place I felt called to.
I can not describe the excitement and joy I felt when my sister, Shanna, told me about this trip to Rwanda. I know God has given me this amazing opportunity to get my feet wet and discover where exactly God is calling me to and even for how long. I know I will grow tremendously throughout this experience, while I am preparing for this trip and while I am far away and out of my comfort zone. I am very optimistic, hopeful and excited to see how God will provide for this trip and how He will change hearts. Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
