My name is Jacob Newton. I am a junior at Barclay College and its my second year there where I am studying Youth Ministry.
I felt the call in my heart to go on a short term missions trip this summer early this year. I was looking around at different trips to different places and was almost set on going with a group to the Philippines when I heard about this trip to Africa. After praying about it for a while and comparing the two I felt like I was supposed to go to Africa. I am majoring in Youth Ministry, and it turns out the things I will be doing in Africa are more in line with that, and I am so excited to have this experience.
Would you please support me as I prepare for this trip? First, I would appreciate your prayers for me! Second, I need to raise 100% of my registration and travel costs of $3,000. The team from Friendswood is taking part in many fundraisers but with me being 11 hours away at college it is kind of hard to join them. I have one fundraiser planned here in Kansas so far. If you feel led to donate to my trip I would greatly appreciate it.
