This past year at summer camp we sang a song called “I Will Go” by Starfield. The chorus to this song says, “I will go Lord, send me to the world, to the lost, to the poor and hungry.” Whenever I sang this song it wasn’t like singing any other song. I truly believed in every word I was saying and I felt a connection that could only be God calling me to the lost.
Seeing as this is my first year in high school, I haven’t been able to go on any mission trips yet. When I heard we were sending a team to Rwanda I remembered how I had been so sure about going to the world, the lost, and the poor and hungry, and Rwanda matches these descriptions quite well. I prayed about it and came to the decision of going to Africa to share my story with the people of Rwanda.
