Rwanda Update – July 21-23

On July 21, the team had a work day.  They worked on a brick fence at the house where they are staying. Afterwards, they shared lunch together then visited a genocide memorial in Kigali. Hanna said it was very meaningful.  They returned back to the house for sharing and some down time before going to bed early since their next day was to start at 4:30 a.m.  They were going to travel to a wildlife area to view  native wildlife.  Should be a good opportunity to take some really great pictures. This trip will take most of the day as it is a 2.5 hour trip to the preserve.

Yesterday the team had a great day of learning about the ongoing missions work that is being developed there through David and Debby Thomas, Molly Black,  and Brad Carpenter. They toured the Moringa fields that have been cultivated by the Thomas family.

At 6:00AM today they set out to Lake Kivu. These next several days there may be little communication as they don’t know if they will have cellular or internet service at the conference center.

These next 8 to 10 days will be very rewarding, but at the same time demanding of the team emotionally, physically and spiritually. The team will be working at the missionary conference providing education and activities for the children of the missionaries.

Please continue to pray for our loved ones and the people they are serving. Have a great weekend.  We will post more information as it becomes available.
